"Discovering Copper Country Women's Heritage" was coordinated by the Copper Country Women's Heritage Committee in conjunction with the Michigan Technological University's Humanities Department. It was a week-long program featuring workshops, exhibits, readings, plays, and films highlighting the significance of local women's history and the achievement of Copper Country women who came from a variety of backgrounds.

The program was supported through a grant from the Michigan Council for the Humanities.
