Berolzheimer, Ruth
Henry (Heinrich Otto) Berolzheimer was born in 1848 in Nuremberg to Heinrich and Theresa (née Brandeis) Berolzheimer. In 1867 he obtained a passport and an exit permit to North America. 1869-1870 Heinrich Otto Berolzheimer spent some time in Paris. He was granted U.S. citizenship on March 3rd, 1876, as Henry Berolzheimer. In 1885 he married Getti (or Jetti) Salomon, who was born in Keokuk, Iowa. According to a U.S. census from 1910, Henry and Getti had four children, Ruth (born in 1889), Milton (born in 1890), Howard (born in 1897) and Leon (born in 1898). Henry was involved in various business projects, e.g. food import from Haiti, real estate and dry goods. He died in 1917. Please note: Henry (Heinrich Otto) Berolzheimer, must not be confused with Heinrich Berolzheimer, Kommerzienrat from Fuerth, founder of the Eagle Pencil Company.
Henry (Heinrich Otto) Berolzheimer's daughter, Ruth Berolzheimer, was a superintendent at the Jewish Home Finding Society of Chicago and a keen genealogist.
