Standard Tractor Company
The Standard Motor Company was involved in the production of the Ferguson tractor between 1945 and 1959. To preserve its interest in tractor production when the Ferguson manufacturing process was sold to Massey-Harris-Ferguson, Standard Motor Company set up a tractor company of its own and produced a number of prototypes (two of which apparently survive) designed around the Standard diesel engine. After Standard joined Leyland in 1960, the Tractor Company was put into voluntary liquidation (resolution of 9 November 1960).
