Patton, John, 1850-1907
Born at Corwensville, Clearfield Co., Va. Oct 30, 1850, grad. from Philip's Academy, from Yale in 1875, Columbia Law School in 1877. Moved to Grand Rapids, Mich., in 1878. Practiced law, appointed by Gov. to fill term of Senator Stockbridge, 1894-1895. (from Mich. Biog. V. 1 p. 179) (blue index cards).
