North Dakota Typographical Conference

The North Dakota Typographical Conference was established May 7, 1967 in Carrington, North Dakota. It was formed by North Dakota members of the International Typographical Union, who organized to improve working conditions for the state's printers. The Conference consisted of four "member unions" or "locals" in Bismarck, Fargo, Grand Forks and Minot. Each local sent five delegates to Conference meetings, which occurred twice a year - in the spring and fall. Officers were elected. The Conference held its last meeting in September of 1987. It disbanded shortly thereafter due to declining membership.
