Andrew (Family : Andrew, J. R. (John Robert), 1853-1925)

The Andrew family was a white family from Rowland, Robeson County, N.C., Salem, Va., and other North Carolina and Virginia locations, headed by John Robert (J. R.) Andrew (1853-1925) his wife and Rebecca Olivia Talbott (1852-1942). Their daughter, Roberta Olivia Andrew (1894-1995), was the wife of Dr. J. McNeill Smith, Sr. (1884-1952) and the mother of civil rights lawyer J. McNeill Smith Jr. (1918-2011).
