Architecture professor. Vernon Francis Stone (1920- ), born in LeMay, Missouri, received his B.A. (1948) from Washington University in St. Louis. He was employed by Iowa State University as an Instructor (1950-1952); Assistant Professor (1959-1961); Associate Professor (1961-1964); and Professor (1964-1985) in the Dept. of Architecture.
