Buffalo Electric Company.
Founded in 1898 as McCarthy Bros. & Ford by Eugene J. McCarthy, Edmund D. McCarthy and Henry R. Ford. The name was changed to Buffalo Electric Company in 1940. An electrical engineering and construction firm, Buffalo Electric did work for Trico, Ashland Oil, Houdaille, General Mills, American Brass, General Motors and others, and was the Westinghouse Company's sole distributor in Western New York.
