The Office of Institutional Research at the University of Wisconsin--Eau Claire develops and provides statistical summaries of student, curricular, and personnel characteristics; enrollments; budget information; nurmerous analytical studies and institutional data; maintains and distributes the Factbook and University Policy Book; provides data requested by UW System and external agencies; serves as liaison with UW System for the Central Data Requests (CDR); and conducts institutional researach. The office was formerly called the Office of Institutional Studies and Office of Institutional Planning. The ACT Student Opinion Survey was first administered on the University of Wisconsin--Eau Claire campus in the 1983-84 academic year.
