Curbelo, Carlos, 1980-

Carlos Luis Curbelo (born March 1, 1980) is an American politician. A member of the Republican Party, he served as the U.S. representative for Florida's 26th congressional district from 2015 to 2019.

Born in Miami, Florida, he was educated in the public school system and then at Belen Jesuit Prepatory School before earning a B.A. at the University of Miami. In 2002, Curbelo founded a media and public relations firm which he managed successfully for over 10 years doing work for a wide array of local and international companies as well as political campaigns and policy initiatives. In 2009, he took leave from the firm to become State Director for U.S. Senator George LeMieux and an advisor on Latin-American policy. Curbelo served in this role until late 2010, when he was elected to the Miami-Dade County School Board. In 2011, Curbelo earned an M.P.A. from the University of Miami.
