Abraham, Ralph, 1954-
Ralph Lee Abraham Jr. (born September 16, 1954) is an American politician. A member of the Republican Party, he served as the U.S. Representative for Louisiana's 5th congressional district from 2015 to 2021.
Born in Alto, Louisiana, he graduated from Mangham High School in Mangham, Louisiana before earning a B.A. and D.V.M. from Louisiana State University, working as a practicing veterinarian for ten years thereafter. In 1994, Abraham earned an M.D. degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine. He thereafter practiced family medicine. Abraham has served in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Mississippi National Guard.
