Roby, Martha, 1976-
Martha Kehres Roby (née Dubina, July 26, 1976) is an American attorney and politician. A member of the Republican Party, she served as the U.S. Representative for Alabama's 2nd congressional district from 2011 to 2021.
Born in Montgomery, Alabama, she attended New York University, where she received a Bachelor of Music degree. She entered the Samford University Cumberland School of Law at Birmingham, Alabama, receiving her J.D. in 2001. After graduation, she worked at the law firm of Copeland, Franco. In 2003, Roby was elected to the Montgomery City Council. In 2010, Roby challenged Democratic incumbent Bobby Bright in Alabama's conservative 2nd District. She defeated Bright to become one of the first two women to be elected to Congress from Alabama in a regular election along with Democratic Representative Terri Sewell.
