Fellers, Bonner Frank, 1896-1973
Bonner Frank Fellers (1896-1973) was born on Feburary 7, 1896, in Ridge Farm, Illinois. After graduating from West Point in 1918, he commissioned in the Coast Guard Artillery Corps. He graduated from Command and General Staff School in 1935 and Army War College in 1939. From 1940 to 1942, he served as a military attaché in Egypt. He achieved the rank of brigadier general in December 1942. During World War II, he also served on the staff of General Douglas MacArthur in the Pacific, from 1943 until his retirement in November 1946. His decorations included two Distinguished Service Medals and the Legion of Merit.
