Matthews, Annabel, 1883-1960.
Lawyer and government tax specialist (Brenau College, Gainesville, GA, B.A., 1901; Washington College of Law, LL.B., 1921), Matthews worked in the general counsel's office of the Bureau of Internal Revenue, and was appointed to the U.S. Board of Tax Appeals in 1930, where she served until 1936, and to the Fair Employment Board of the Civil Service Commission in 1948, where she served until 1954.
