Veasey, Marc, 1971-
Marc Allison Veasey (born January 3, 1971) is an American politician from Fort Worth, Texas. Veasey is currently the United States Representative for Texas's 33rd congressional district, first elected in November 2012. He is a member of the Democratic Party.
Veasey attended Arlington Heights High School in Fort Worth. He graduated from Texas Wesleyan University with a bachelor of science degree in mass communications then worked as a substitute teacher and sportswriter as well as writing scripts for an advertising agency. For five years, he worked as a field representative for Congressman J. Martin Frost. In the 2004 elections, Veasey challenged Democratic State Representative Glenn Lewis for Texas's 95th House district, defeating Lewis and going on to be elected to four terms with over ninety percent of the vote.
