Casper, Anne S., 1965-
Anne S. Casper, a career member of the Foreign Service, was confirmed June 29, 2016, as the U.S. ambassador to Burundi. Her ambassadorship lasted until 2019.
Born in 1965 in Las Vegas, Nevada, Casper attended Tufts University, graduating in 1987 with a B.A. in anthropology. She went on to earn an M.A. from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in 1992 and joined the Foreign Service the following year.
