Glasgow University Society for New Testament Study (student society : 1912-1939 : Glasgow, Scotland)
The Glasgow University Society for New Testament Study was founded in 1912 at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, with the object of studying the language, literature and theology of the New Testament and kindred subjects. Membership was open to all interested in the study of the history of the New Testament and not just to students of the University of Glasgow. The Society ceased to function during the academic sessions 1932/1933-1934/1935 but it was successfully revived in 1935 before finally ceasing to operate after the outbreak of the 1939-1945 World War in 1939.
