Mayer, Carrie Mina
Carrie Mina Mayer was born in 1899. She was a pianist and singer in Pittsburgh, during the late 1920s and 1930s. She performed with Carl Whitmer’s Dramamount Singers as a contralto. She was also the pianist and singer at The Pittsburgh Trio, with Emil O. Wolff and Joseph Derdeyn. Carrie Mayer studied piano under Harvey B. Gaul and J Alvin Dise, and singing Emil O. Wolff and Ernestine Schumann-Heink. She died in 1999.
