Prisoner's Rights Council
The Prisoner's Rights Council was incorporated on March 16, 1971. The non-profit organization was staffed and directed by ex-offenders who worked to protect the constitutional rights and other human liberties of people incarcerated in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Council also worked toward criminal justice reform and fundamental improvements in Pennsylvania's prison system. The organization disbanded in 1983.
