Denver, Colo. businessman (D. Hurd & Son, wholesale grocer). B. Oct. 31, 1815 Zanesville, Ohio. Moved to Denver 1873 from Cairo, Ill. Elected to Board of Education 1874 and became its president. Member of the convention which framed Colorado's state constitution.
