White, Joseph Elder, 1774-1820.
Joshua Elder White (1774-1820) was a medical doctor. He moved to Georgia prior to 1801 and began his practice in Waynesboro. He moved to Savannah in 1804 and was one of the founders of the Georgia Medical Society in 1806. He wrote several articles on topography and medical subjects which were published in The Medical Repository (New York), 1804-1807. He was the author of Letters on England (Philadelphia, 1816), 2 vols.
