Anṣārī, Zakarīyā ibn Muḥammad, approximately 1423-approximately 1520
Zakarīyā ibn Muḥammad al-Anṣārī (ca. 1423-ca. 1520), a prolific Egyptian scholar, was appointed by the Memluk Sultan Qāʼit Bāy (d. 1496) as Shaykh al-Islām and Qāḍī al-Quḍāh (chief Muslim cleric and judge).
