Knights of the White Camellia.
Organized by Col. Alcibiades DeBlanc in 1867 May, the knights were most active in La and Miss., though they were also active in Ala. and Tex. The Knights were considered a part of the loosely confederated Reconstruction era Ku Klux Klan. The Knights and other Ku Kluxers used a variety of methods of intimidiation.
