YMCA of Greater New York. Highland Park Branch.

The Twenty-Sixth Ward branch of the YMCA in Brooklyn, New York, was originally part of the Brooklyn Association of the YMCA. The building at Pennsylvania and Liberty Avenues opened on November 5, 1893. In 1926 a new building opened at 570 Jamaica Avenue and the name of the branch changed to Highland Park. That address continued to be the home of a YMCA branch, although its name ultimately changed again. In 1977, the Highland Park branch offered joint programming with the Ridgewood branch in Queens. By 2008 it had become the North Brooklyn/12 Towns branch.
