Wilkinson, Sylvia, 1940-

Sylvia Wilkinson was born in Durham, N.C. in 1940. She graduated from the Woman's College (UNCG) in 1962, received her master's degree from Hollins College and attended Stanford University. She has taught at various institutions and has received a number of literary awards including the Sir Walter Raleigh Award twice--in 1968 for A killing frost, and again in 1978 for Shadow of the mountain.
