Larson, Westside T., 1892-1977
Westside T. Larson (b. Apr. 18, 1892, Vernalis, Calif.-d. March 7, 1977), U.S. Air Force officer, was commissioned in the Air Service in 1920. During World War II, he was commanding officer, 13th Bombardment Group; commanding officer, 1st Bomber Command; commander of 3rd Air Force; and commanding general, 8th Fighter Command. General Larson retired in 1946.
