B. Ellen Rosenberg in Karlsruhe, Germany on May 20, 1906; formed commercial photography studio Ringl & Pit in Berlin with Grete Stern, 1920s; emigrated to Tel Aviv with husband Walter Auerbach, and then to U.S. in 1930s; d. July 30, 1906 in New York, aged 98.
