King, Nathan D., 1839-1863.
King was living in Plattsville, Iowa (Taylor County) when he joined Company K of the 4th Iowa Infantry commanded by Grenville Dodge. He was wounded at Pea Ridge in March of 1862 and died in fighting at Missionary Ridge.
