Davidson, L. A. (Lyal Ament), b. 1886
Lyal Ament Davidson was born December 2, 1886, in Muscatine, Iowa. He received his commission as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy in 1912, and advanced through grades to the rank of rear admiral in 1941, then vice admiral in 1946.
