Horsburgh (Ship)

Clipper ship built in Massachusetts in 1847 and owned by Daniel G. and William B. Bacon of Boston. Under Captain B.W. Crocker, the Horsburgh sailed from Boston on March 25, 1852 and carried cargo and eight passengers from New York to San Francisco, California, via Cape Horn. On August 25, 1852, the ship left San Francisco for Shanghai, China, where it arrived on October 28. The Horsburgh departed China on December 1, 1852 and returned to New York on March 27, 1853.
