Erickson, Hilma, 1887-1968.
Hilma (Bockman) Erickson (1887-1968) was born in Merikarvia, Finland and came to America with a brother in 1905. Hilma worked at the Anderson Boarding House and in a hospital in Ishpeming, Mich. She married Ilmari Erickson (1885-1957), a miner, in 1910. In 1916, the family moved to Waukegan, Ill. when Ilmari was blacklisted. The family remained in Waukegan and Ilmari became a carpenter; both he and Hilma were active members of the Workers Hall, and he served on the Board of Directors for the Waukegan Co-operative Trading Company.
