Seever, Galen L.
Born in Wichita, Kansas in 1934, Galen Seever received an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from the University of Kansas in 1958. He completed a doctorate in 1963 at the University of California at Berkeley, under the advisorship of William G. Bade. He taught at the University of California, Los Angeles and the California Institute of Technology before coming to University of Texas in 1970. A specialist in the field of functional analysis, Seever taught at UT until the late 1980s.
