Columbia and Red Mountain Railway Company.
The company was incorporated in 1895 to build a railroad line from the Columbia River to the international boundary. It completed a 7.5-mile line from Northport (Stevens County) to the border, which was operated as part of the Spokane Falls and Northern Railway system until 1907 when it was subsumed into the Great Northern. The company was officially disincorporated in 1927.
