Beati, Gabriele, 1607-1673
Gabriele Beati (1607-1673), a Jesuit priest and professor of Mathematics at the Collegio Romano, authored several treatises on the use of mirrors for judging distances and altitudes, astronomy and meteorology, as well as more general works on philosophy and ethics.
