Laning, Caleb, 1906-1991.
Caleb Laning, U.S. naval officer, was born in 1906 and graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1929. He served in World War II as Communications-Electronics AWS-CIC Officer in COMCRUDESPAC, 1942-1944, where he played a key role in the establishment of Combat Information Centers on shipboard. He graduated from the Naval War College in 1950. He died in 1991.
