Arizona State University. College of Law

Arizona State University's College of Law was founded in 1967 with Willard H. Pedrick as its founding Dean. A new 82,000 square foot building was constructed at Orange and McAllister Streets in Tempe to house the College, which took possession in early 1968. The College was granted provisional accreditation by the American Bar Association in January of 1969 and launched its law journal later that year. The College graduated its first student, Debra Miller, in April of 1970. The College was officially renamed the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law in April of 2006. Currently, it enrolls about 600 students and is ranked among the top law schools in the United States.
