Portland and Oxford Central Railroad
Chartered in 1857, the Portland and Oxford Central Railroad took control of the property and assets of the Buckfield Branch Railroad Company in that year. In 1878 the Portland and Oxford Central Railroad was placed under the receivership of the Rumford Falls and Buckfield Railroad, and was sold to the Portland and Rumford Falls Railway in 1896.
