Liberty Mutual Insurance Company
Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in collaboration with the Ford Motor Company, General Motors and Cornell Aeronautical Laboratory produced two safety car prototypes in the late 1950s and early 1960s. They were made to research and demonstrate automobile safety features designed around the concept of "packaging the passenger."
