Solidarity Coalition
The Solidarity Coalition was formed in 1983 by concerned British Columbians who opposed the restraint policy of the Social Credit government. The People's Commission for Social and Economic Policy Alternatives, composed of four commissioners, emerged out of this Coalition and held public meetings throughout B.C. in the fall of 1983 to disseminate information and provide a forum in the hope of creating a popular opposition.
