Duluth, Watertown and Pacific Railway Company.

The company was incorporated in 1885 to construct a railway line linking Duluth (Minn.) with Cheyenne (Wyo.). It succeeded in building 70 miles of rail line between Watertown and Huron, South Dakota, all of it financed by the St. Paul, Minneapolis and Manitoba Railway, the GN's predecessor. In 1907 the properties were transferred to GN and, in 1928, the company was formally dissolved.
