West, Harold D. (Harold Dadford), 1904-1974
Scientist, educator. West was fifth President of Meharry Medical College, first Black. A teacher of Physiological Chemistry and Biochemistry. He initiated the Graduate Degree Program. Dr. West received Research Grants from: John and Mary Markle Foundation, Nutrition Foundation, National Institute of Health, U.S. Atomic Energy Commission and the American Cancer Society.
