The Undergraduate Athletic Association was established in 1933. Members consisted of a president, secretary, and the captains and managers of Yale's athletic teams. Reporting to the Athletic Association Board of Control, the activities of the Undergraduate Athletic Association included the management of athletic competitions and the creation of awards and insignia. The functions of the Association were later taken over by the Department of Athletics Governing Board in 1967.
