Keith, William, Sir, 1680-1749
Appointed Governor of the Province of Pennsylvania by King George III in 1717 and made this report on preventing communication between the French settlements in Canada and those on the Mississippi to the Commissioners for Trade and Plantations of Great Britain in 1718, gathering much of his information from Indian traders.
