Webb, Harry Edward, 1888-

Webb (1888-) was born in New Castle, Colorado and worked as a cowboy near Lander, Wyoming before riding in Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show from 1910-1911. He worked as an actor from 1911-1914 and then operated a cattle ranch in Elko County, Nevada until 1942. He began writing western fiction based on his experience with the Wild West Show and received the Western Writer's Association Silver Spur Award in 1972. Webb was also featured in an article on Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show in the July 1981 edition of "National Geographic."
