Taylor, Charles Edwin, 1843-

Charles E. Taylor and Charles W. MacKey were nineteenth century attorneys in Oil City, Pennsylvania. Taylor was a president judge of the Court of Common Pleas of Venango County. Their Venango County practice served private and corporate clients throughout the region, from New York to Ohio. During the 1860s, Taylor, Gilfillan & MacKey served a broad clientele of railroad, mining and oil companies. From the 1870s through the turn of the nineteenth century, Taylor and MacKey continued to represent these and other clients in civil and criminal cases.
