Clemson Area Continuing Education Center (S.C.)
Organized in 1953 as the Clemson Area Adult Education Center and co-sponsored by the Adult Division of the State Department of Education, the center offered non-credit classes to adults from the counties of Pickens, Oconee, Greenville, Anderson, Laurens, Greenwood, Abbeville, and northern Georgia. Courses covered topics from art, history, science, business and public affairs to various crafts and hobbies. The records include annual summary reports membership lists, faculty listings, news releases, enrollment figures, financial statements, addresses, newspaper clippings, and class schedules.
