State House of Corrections and Branch of State Prison in Upper Peninsula
The State House of Correction and Branch of State Prison in Upper Peninsula (also known as the Marquette Branch Prison) was established by law in 1885 in Marquette, Michigan, and was completed in 1889. The prison is under the jurisdiction of the Michigan Department of Corrections, which was established in 1937.
