Grace Lutheran Church (Sidney, Mont.)
Grace Lutheran was established in 1911 as Scandia Congregation of Trotters, North Dakota. It has been a part of the parish, which includes First Lutheran of Savage. The two congregations have both been served by the same pastor through the years. The name of the congregation was changed to Grace Lutheran of Skaar in 1961. This community is located at the Montana-North Dakota border, and the church is just a few feet from the state line. An abandoned church was moved to the present location at the Northeastern tip of Wibaux County and served as Grace’s first house of worship.
