Garden Club of Ramsey County.

The Garden Club of Ramsey County was organized in April 1912 and is the oldest continously operated garden club in Minnesota. Its original name was the Men's Garden Club of Ramsey County and it was not until 1919 that women were allowed to attend meetings as guests. Women were granted full membership in 1932.

The objectives of the club are to stimulate the knowledge and love of horticulture, floriculture, landscape and vegetable gardening among amateurs; aid in the protection of native plants and trees; and encourage civic planting. The club is affiliated with the Minnesota State Horticultural Society.
