Coolidge, Harold J. (Harold Jefferson), 1904-
Coolidge was assistant curator of mammals at the Museum of Comparative Zoology, Harvard from 1929-1946. He served as executive director, Pacific Science Board, National Academy of Sciences from 1946-70. He was also associate in mammalogy at Harvard from 1946-70. Beginning in 1972, Coolidge served as honorary president of the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN).
